Sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise

Early saints were gifted by the Spirit who endowed them with various miraculous powers, the most prominent being the teaching gifts. Without it, there could be no edification and growth of the body. Yet, each member of the spiritual body of Christ (the ekklesia) was not given every gift. They were all interdependent on each other so that all are necessary.

These gifts not only confirmed the word but it confirmed the speaker of the word that they were His and approved vessels of mercy delivering the truth of God. Such gifts, though coveted, was a gift chosen by the Spirit as deemed best by Him. He orchestrated the entire process by not only revealing the mind of God but also choosing the persons and methods of conveyance. This age was the time promised for his outpouring and was necessary for this transition from Judaism to Christ. Without Him, it could not have even begun not to mention completed.
