I am wanting people to see the Bible as a collection of letters written not to us but for us. The letters were addressed to people living in the last days, the end of which began a new and glorious age. We are the rich recipients of that new age if we are in His kingdom, i.e., allowing Him to be the ruler of our hearts.

Such people who have, indeed, committed their lives to Him are the class of people known in Scripture as the "called-out" (Gr. ekklesia). The english word church is not a good translation for this word but its use does accomplish the purpose for which is was given. It is my conviction that before the close of the first century and into the start of the second, theologians instituted the church concept. The "church fathers" are just that. They are the fathers of the church organization, which if I'm correct, was never authored by Jesus. Constantine popularized this concept when making "Christianity" the official religion of his empire. With its marriage with the Catholic church and the eventual erection of Popes, this form of religion took shape to control the people.

We do not believe that a local church organization is established by the Lord, nor the elders/pastors who are supposedly the leaders of said organization. Such gifted men listed in Ephesians 4 existed in that age to aid God's people for individual service in the body. Such gifts ended with that purpose being achieved along with the unity of the faith, knowledge of Jesus to a complete or mature stage.

Today, we all have access to the same written Word and are accountable to it as well as looking out for our brothers and sisters. The professional pastor and staff members of churches today have stepped outside the boundaries and are seeking to apply New Testament practices in a different context (local churches) and at a different era (the rule of Christ).

This Podcast is designed to help fellow Christians fulfill their individual responsibility in the body of Christ that not only edifies them but reaches out for the encouragement of the body.
