"Twisting the Scriptures" (Part One)

We have emphasized the need to "speak as the oracles of God". That does not mean that we preach from the Bible, necessarily. I have heard many people speak of their church and how they like "their preacher" because he preaches straight from the Bible. Well, most preachers preach "straight from the Bible," but they put their own twist and application to the things they read from the Bible.

This lesson just affirms the need to approach the Word with respect and refuse to take liberties with it to prove what we believe instead of reading it with the intense desire to be approved by Him and to know His will.
